Today is probably going to be a short post. Or it is going to be about lots of random stuff. Which do you think would be better? Hahahah…I dunno, you tell me!
You Found Me by The Fray.
Okay, you got me…Like what is this, right? It’s a song by The Fray. Yeah… well, let’s analyse some of the lyrics from the song. As I heard it suddenly last night, it popped back to my mind that I remembered something about the lyrics that I could share!
♫ Lost and insecure…you found me, you found me…Lying on the floor…surrounded, surrounded…Why’d you have to wait? Where were you, where were you? …Just a little late…you found me, you found me ♫
Now what does it remind me off? Haha…you wouldn’t imagine…
I thought about the game Left 4 Dead. Do you know that game? Like hell you should. What game is it? It’s zombie-killing first shooter game. Sounds fun yet? Oh hell it should.
Seriously, it’s a very fun game. You play as one of these four characters trying to escape the zombie apocalypse and reach the rescue army and survive. The zombies come in hordes and there are few special zombies that have special abilities such as;
the Boomer (Fat dude who vomits zombie bile that helps to alert his allies of where you are),
the Smoker (Tall thin guy who due to excessive smoking when it was human has developed an extremely long tongue like a chameleon that helps it to reel you in),
the Hunter (the cool dude who wears a hoodie and crouches and hops around looking for a prey to jump on and start raping harassing clawing on its prey),
the Witch (little miss crybaby who sits down and fakes crying and awaits for her prey to hear her voice and then hunts you down just because you saw her shedding crocodile tears)
and as well as the Tank (Mister excessive bodybuilder who took too much steroids when it was human as still gain lots of weight when it became a zombie, brings a big punch when it hits ya).
Surprisingly, they had a sequel to the game after the original four survivors had escaped. A new bunch of four survivors appear in a different city but still a city filled with lots of zombies. However, an additional bonus in this sequel is the usage of melee weapons as well as new guns and also new zombies. Melee weapons such as the frying pan, baseball bat, gold club, chainsaw are just a few examples. The new special zombies are known as;
the Spitter (Miss stomach goo that spits on an area and if you stand on her goo, your life drops faster than you can say ‘gesundheit’),
the Charger (Huge dude with one gigantic arm that can incapacitate you but looks more like a half developed Tank from the hillbilly areas)
and the Jockey (small dude who only wishes to control you like a robot and take you on a stroll and take you to meet his friends).
Kinda freaky right? Me telling bout zombies suddenly. Okay, I will get to my point now.
You see, in the game…There are times when the zombies become too many and your life suddenly drains down to nothing. And then poof, from standing up, you become incapacitated and you’ll have to wait for your allies to come rescue you or else, you’ll just sleep there on the floor awaiting for zombies to finally finish you off. Here is where the song kicks in. Do you get it now? Go back to the lyrics and check it out.
It’s like, you are finally incapacitated and then, you’re awaiting for your allies to come and save you. This song plays in the background…
♫Lost and insecure…you found me, you found me…Lying on the floor…surrounded, surrounded…Why’d you have to wait? Where were you, where were you? …Just a little late…you found me, you found me ♫
Doesn’t it make the most dramatic scene of all? You’re lost and you’re insecure…zombies are above you, scratching away bits of your digital health…you’re lying on the floor…surrounded, definitely surrounded….Then you’re screaming at your allies, “Why’d you have to wait?! Where were you, you %#@$!! You’re just that little late…Now I’m dead.”
I felt that way so much when I listen to this song, and especially this part of it. Obviously, The Fray has no intention of relating this amazing song to a zombie killing spree game but it sure sounded like it did. Anyways, I hope you liked this post a lot. I found it funny how imaginative we can be. Hahahah. Have you thought about a song that represents a special moment for you?
