Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

Dreams Are Made Of This…

All of us in our lifetime would definitely have experienced dreams. Isn’t that obvious?

But what kind dreams do we have? What does dreams mean when we dream about it? Does dreams tell us about ourselves? If they do, then what about nightmares? What about dreams that seem so real, it is like you have been in that situation before? How do you define ‘dreams’?

Well for today, I am not here to define dreams for you. I am here to share very peculiar dreams a few of my friends had in the past and then I will end it with a very extraordinary dream I had a few days ago.

My friend had this dream once, the setting for her dream was in the future. To continue, I will just introduce my friend as HL. She had a dream once, as she told us one day where the entire group of us were having dinner together. All of us were a years older, perhaps with a job as well as families of our own and we were all coming back for a reunion of our class. In her dream, not much had changed among us. What made her dream special was during the dinner, she dreamt of me acting as a food critic and was ranting on and on about the food being served.

That shook me for awhile when she told me. Have I been giving people the impression that I am very good in judging food? Or is it that they just see me as such a glutton for food, perhaps the idea of me being a food critic doesn’t seem so unrealistic? I admit, being a food critic does have it benefits. Free food, amazing service, best atmosphere…all just to make sure I write a good review about their food and restaurant. And all I had to do is fake a fearful predisposition and that’s it. Food just keeps on coming. But is that all that I would be good at?

The next person I have in mind to share about dreams is YS. He told me once about him dreaming of me, him and another of ours, GC. All three of us were in my car, when I was back in Malaysia and we stopped somewhere and had a long discussion in my car. Just the three of us, joyfully sharing but he could not remember at all what was discussed. Isn’t that peculiar? That situation is not difficult to happen in real life but how can he dream of it happening, without it actually happening? What made this dream to appear when he’s asleep?

Then, we come to my friend, GC. During the time when I was in New Zealand, she told me she dreamt of me suddenly appearing back in Malaysia. They were in a small gathering in a shopping mall and out of nowhere, I surprised everyone with my cheeky smile. Well, maybe that’s just a sign of missing me but how can this be transcribed into her dream? Moreover, she said she felt it like as if it was real. Unfortunately, I was still in New Zealand when that happened. Oh well.

Alright, that was three odd dreams dreamt by my friends. Now it’s my turn. Similarly like HL, my dream was set in the future but it was not in a distant future. It felt like just a few years ahead, and it concerned mostly about our friend, PK. When my dream began, I could only see myself in a tuxedo with the rest of my friends sitting beside me, guys in tuxedo while the girls were in their evening gowns. We were all sitting in a huge auditorium filled with people. There was not a sound in the entire place, it felt like everyone was anticipating for something.

Then, all of a sudden, the curtains on the stage parted and an entire orchestra was just there. A complete orchestra will all the violins, cellos, piano, flute…yes, the entire ensemble. During the time, I still wondered what was happening when suddenly, she rose up from the middle of the stage. She was wearing a fantastic flowing dress, and as she slowly rose up from the bottom of the stage, she began to sing while the orchestra followed her lead. The singer was our friend, PK and I couldn’t believe it. It was such an out-of-this-world moment. The entire hall was filled with her voice and when she was finished, everybody rose and gave her a loud applause. Then the group of us rushed to the back to congratulate her and then, it ended. I could remember no further.

I know I always told her she’s going to be an amazing singer in the future, and I know she has other plans for her future, but that dream felt so surreal, I really hoped that it would be real. Well, that’s dreams for you. Some say, that is how our subconscious mind speaks to us but I don’t think anything is concrete until we can really prove it for ourselves to believe.

If my friend, PK is reading now..I just want to say, if that dream really does come true, YOU ARE AWESOME. And even if it doesn’t, it does not mean you won’t be successful in the future. You just have to believe in yourself.

Have a nice day, and hopefully tonight you will dream of wonder and splendour.

Yes, keira! That dream was really awesome. It was like so real. You were wearing this black elegant flowing dress and you sang like so so amazingly. I couldn't figure out what song it was, cause you know..it's a dream. But it was really really nice. Your voice echoed through the entire auditorium. It was phenomenal! And it didn't feel like any Malaysian philharmonic orchestra at all. It felt so international. It was really fantastic!
