My friend, Matt recently asked me what I thought was my movie and song for the year of 2010. In truth, I never really gave much thought about it. It seemed for him, he has always been choosing his movies and songs for each year. Anyways, when he asked me the question, I was quite stunned by it at first and I could only answer it with the first thing that came up in my mind.
When I went back home, I came online and made a bit of a research. I looked at the list of movies released in 2010 and slowly made my choice.
Whereas for the song of 2010, the list was so immense it could not even be found (at least for me) in the Internet. So I just went through my own database of songs, then researched on those songs that I liked a lot and see if it was released in the year 2010.
These are my list of nominations for each category;

Although I may not have watched all the movies that are released in 2010, I can confidently say that I have chosen the right choice for my movie of the year for 2010.
These are my choices;
Song of 2010: Taylor Swift – Mine!
Movie of 2010: Toy Story 3!
I guess my choice for song of 2010 shouldn’t come as a surprise especially when Taylor Swift dominates it with three out of the nineteen songs in the list. But seriously, I have heard this song umpteen times, so many times that I can’t even remember how many…I mean, on the day it came out, I already downloaded it and blasted it repetitively through my stereo and up to today, I have yet to get bored with it. Furthermore, even listening to Taylor singing it live did not alter my perception of the song. This song definitely earns this title indubitably in my books! And I’ll bet this song will continue to resonate in my mind until 2011! Matter of fact, I think I am going to play it again in my laptop now!
My choice for movie of 2010 was quite hard to be decided. As you can see, I had quite a list to go through. It took me awhile but in the end, I decided nothing made my emotions took a roller coaster ride more than Toy Story 3. This movie had the best laughs and the most tear-jerking moments as compared to the rest. I totally loved the show and watching it again just seemed so natural. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing when I watched Barbie & Ken (Oh, how I wish to see more of these two) and crying as I watched them about to be incinerated as well as when Andy had to give them away to that oh-so-lovable-and-cute little girl named Bonnie. It took all my strength to keep those tears from falling in front of my friends who were beside me watching with me. Oh Toy Story 3, you took my breath away…Take it again for all I care!
