Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

The How and the Why People

psychology 5This post is going to be a bit psychology-ish, just for your information. I learned about it recently and I thought I should share it with my readers. It’s actually something that we can use to define ourselves, based on the way we think in our daily lives while doing our daily routines. Basically, there are two types of people out there. The How people and the Why people.

psychologyYou may be wondering which one you are, well this is how these two types are briefly defined.

psychology 3The How people: These type of people always ask themselves the How questions in their mind in everything they do. They only wonder what will they be doing later, how will it be done, how long will it take….questions that are very straightforward and mostly like a yes or no questions dominate the minds of these How people. They are never known for thinking further into what they will be doing, just as long as it is something right and should be done.

psychology2The Why people: As you should have guessed by now, the Why people are generally known as the deep thinkers. They are the ones who go further in their thoughts and ask the why questions in what they do. They wonder why things don’t work at times, they wonder why the sky is blue not purple. The Why people may seem smarter as they take the time to think about their actions but this is not always the case.

In general, this is how these two types of personality is being defined. I do hope you understand from such a short paragraph about each personality and try to think which one are you. It is not to help you define yourself as a whole, but more of a guide to help you understand yourself better as a human being.

psychology 4Another thing to note, just because you think you are either one of these personalities does not mean you are always just that personality. Our minds work in a very unique way and it cannot be easily defined by just either one of these two personalities being noted. That is why, it is also important to understand that your mind is capable of generating both How and Why questions. You should evaluate yourself by the frequency of both questions. Which type of questions dominate your mind mostly?psychology 6

And just to clarify, being in either of the personalities do not bring any effects on how you are as a human. It does not mean that by being one of the personalities, you are stupider than those of the other personality or likewise. Both personalities have their perks and we should embrace it because we are who we are.

I'm not sure whether I'm a 'Why' or 'How' thinker. I need consultation, sil vous plait!

When it came to you while I was sort of going through the list of swted bananas & wondering which type they belonged, I too was stumped when it came to you. However, as I have mentioned in the post, you do not conform to one type and remain that way. That is why, when it comes to you, I do believe you are quite the Why thinker but with a close relationship with the How thinker within you. Am I right in that description, that depends on you to judge. =)
Btw, thanks for commenting!

Hmm I think i'm a why person. But when I'm working on a task I'm probably a how person.

Lol thanks for the consultation. You should DEFINITELY do a Psychology feature once a month or something...this is in-teh-resting!

I think when I do something I tend to focus more on the 'How' at the beginning and only contemplate on the 'Why' later on because of my rush-rush-rush personality aha.

JT: Hey, yeah...when things becomes in a rush, humans tend to divert to the how very easily..However, I do believe you are a stern 'why' person, in my opinion..

Ches: I'm wondering if I can find that many interesting psychology related topics to blog about every month. But I'll do my best. Thanks for the feedback.

Anyways, thanks guy for commenting..
