First Times

Alright, so this time I am going to talk about the first times for anything. Don’t you agree that you would remember your first times the most as compared to your umpteen time for something?

Let’s put it into a sample. Let’s say your first time falling in love. I believe that (although I have yet to fall head over heels over anybody yet) your first relationship is the one that you will never forget, whether or not that story has become a history for you and the other person?

Even after breakups, your first love is still going to be able to bring a sense of tingling to the heart even though the relationship might have ended badly. This sensation would become even harder to forget when that person is your first kiss. You gave your first kiss (not counting those you have given to your siblings or parents or any other relatives) to this person and somehow or another, this is going to remain in your history books forever, wouldn’t it? Now wouldn’t it appear awkward when you guys meet up years later but with different people beside you?

The Script sings in their single, “We’re smiling but we’re close to tears, Even after all these years, We just now got the feeling that we’re meeting, for the first time…” Do you feel the same when you meet your first love again? Is it like the first time you saw the person all over again?

First times are always scary, first times are always magical, first times are always nerve-wrecking. But if you never had that first time, how would be able to progress further in life? First times always lead to a change in us, be it good or bad.

What about the first time sitting that horrifying-looking roller coaster? When you were young, your parents never gave you the chance to take it, fearing for your safety and even when you are older, you become terrified of it because you never had the experience when you were younger. What would happen to you then? Fear the roller coaster your entire life? Fear that it would bring you up and down and topsy-turvy and it never ends?

Well, take that step forward and take the ride. Life will always be filled with ups and downs and if we are afraid to do it for the first time, you’ll live a life of ever-wondering.

Taylor Swift explains her definition for her second album, “Being fearless isn’t being 100% unafraid. It’s being terrified but you jump anyway…” Lose that fear of taking the first time, and then you’ll realize you are stronger than before.

We go through many first times in this world. First time taking an examination, first time getting dumped, first time failing the driving test, first time passing the interview for the job of our life or even first time breathing. Aren’t you glad you breathed the first time you entered to this world?

Take your first times the best things in this world because you are shaped by the first times of everything you have done.
