Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

Inception

SPOILERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

One of Christopher Nolan's most amazing fantasy has been made into reality through the power of movie making. Another similar thing like James Cameron, perhaps? Not exactly. For one thing, it had a better idea for the plot and well, eventhough Avatar was a good movie, Inception was better.

Now I know I don't usually do this, giving reviews about movies I've watched lately but I guess I will when certain movies catch my mind. Inception caught my mind because for one thing, Christopher Nolan had this idea since ten years ago. But he just couldn't make it right yet so he decided to leave it for awhile and direct The Dark Knight first. Clever idea cause he reaped profits from that show to fund this show he had in mind already.

Besides Christopher Nolan, I'd say getting Leonardo DiCaprio is quite a good idea as well. He has this attribute in him that makes him a rather thoughtful person especially in such shows. He always portray as the rather mentally disturbed individual. And somehow, it works. Leonardo is pretty excellent in being the one who is mortified by his deceased wife, who just can't seem to let her go. And before that, if you guys remembered 'Shutter Island', he did the same thing. The mentally-disturbed individual. And boy, was he convincing. I might not be Leonardo DiCaprio's big fan eventhough he was spectacular in shows like Titanic, Romeo & Juliet, and The Departed, just to name a few, however he cannot be
mistaken for an amazing actor.

Of course, the other cast members are also pretty amazing as well. We have the clean-cut figure of Arthur, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt who I would have to say, is doing pretty well since (500) Days of Summer. We also have Ken Watanabe, supposedly the Tourist of the group. Whatever that means. Then we have Bruce Wayne's butler, Sir Michael Caine as Leonardo's father-in-law for this show. And finally, Miss Ellen Page who showed us that sometimes, being an architect is so fun and amazing.
Imagine folding the Earth into half, making rooftops on top of rooftops, ability to walk 90 degrees and all those crap in your dreams. Geez. The thing was, she had to be very realistic about it and everything she made had to feel extremely real although they know it's a dream. The other good thing about her character, Ariadne? She could so-called create mazes that are extremely impossible to be completed in short amount of time. Pretty odd since her character was named after a mythical character in the Greek mythology that helped Theseus to escape from the Minotaur's labyrinth.

Anyways, coming back, the movie is a pretty interesting show to watch. The thing movie-goers should be glad to know is luckily Christopher Nolan decided to change the genre of the movie to a 'heist' movie instead of a horror movie. I mean, it's already practically mind-boggling at some moments, imagine having to be frightened while getting confused...You are just going to be pissed off when the
show ends. You are trying to understand the movie and then pop comes out some horror thing, making you lose concentration. Damn, that movie would have sucked. Well, luckily it didn't. Unlike for Daybreakers. Now that was a sad sad show. The dumb bats is just such a lame thing.

I know I probably have said too much already about the plot but I'm just glad to explain what I thought about the movie. It's pretty interesting. I mean, people like Christopher Nolan and James Cameron are so lucky to have their amazing ideas, their own fantasy worlds to be created and exhibited to the world through the magic of movie-making. I have my share fare of fantasy worlds but I doubt I will be able to make them real anytime. Or at least movie world-real. It's just so wonderful to be able to share those ideas you created since you were young and share it with the world and then get money back in return. Geez, that's such an amazing job to have!

Oh, and I love the names Nolan gave to each of the characters. As in the specific title each of them have except the Tourist. Let's see. We have Dom Cobb(Leonardo) as The Extractor. We have Arthur(Gordon-Levitt) as The Point Man. We have Ariadne(Page) as The Architect(of Dreams, oh I love how that sounds). Eames(Tom Hardy) as The Forger. Yusuf(Dileep Rao) as The Chemist. Then we have Dom's deceased evil-manifestation wife, Mal(Marion Cotillard) as The Shade. And finally the person they are all after who is the main focus of their entire mission, Robert Fischer(Cillian Murphy) as The Mark. Yeah, he is the marked man. Among all of these, The Architect of Dreams just sounds so wonderful to me. I wish to be one too.

Anyways, I finish this post with a summary of Inception for those who have watched the show but might not have got what was going on. Cause it seems it was happening within a dream within a dream within a dream...and on and on. So yeah. Blaaaahhh...

Ah, I guess the diagram isn't very clear. Hmm. Oh well. You can probably get the jist of the idea from it I guess. Anyways, here is my rating. So what do you think after watching the show?

Rate: 9.9 / 10
