Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

My Friend...Ying Soon.

As the number of articles begin to accumulate, the number of people I can write about becomes less. However, this does not mean the end. My intention as I write each article as those concerned should know, I want you to know how I thought of you, not just as my friend but as an individual to the world. I hope my words do bring some provoking thoughts to you guys as I slowly note down each characteristic or personality you have.

Coming back, my next article will be about a certain person who, I believe really did sacrifice his time here to be in Form Six. He could have done others things instead of being in Form Six but yet, he went through the huge examination with all of us. And for that, I thank him from the bottom of my heart. His name is Phang Ying Soon.

Another regular guy you would see in the class? Well maybe, but not really. Ying Soon, he is an amazing friend who really does look out for you, when he considers you as a friend. Now, Ying Soon to me is somebody whom I know sparked much friendship especially when Upper Six started. Somehow, during the Lower Six, we were not really close. He had his own issues and he hung out with the rest more than with me. With that taken in mind, I sort of considered him another bad influence in the class. Well, he is not really a bad influence, but he is still a very notable prankster. His mischievous nature still runs in his blood until today. The proof of this? Well, some of the people in class has been made his victims of his mischiefs for many times.

The other thing you should know about this guy is, though he may be a prankster when you know him at first, he is actually also a very hardworking as well as brainy guy. I'm not saying he is a genius but he has quite the brains besides the brawn. In truth, he is quite the all-rounder when you think about it. He can just about hang out with anybody he knows. Best part? You can go to him with your problems cause he will help you out as well. Not many can seem like Ying Soon because he is trully an all-rounder. He goes out for sports with some of us, he goes to the cyber cafe as well with the others, he is even active in school activities. He is able to juggle all these while leaving time for studying as well. Something not many can do. Oh, I should mention as well, tuitions as well as erm, relationships with friends. In short, Ying Soon brings out the meaning of using your time wisely and do anything necessary to achieve what you want. That is not a joke.

Now, me and him, like I said, we weren't very close. We only got closer as we began going out more with the rest during gatherings & we interacted more. I have to say, one of the things that made me realize he truly honours me as his friend was when he sent me a message one night, after I asked him if he was alright cause he seemed down and his reply was, "It's okay already but thanks for asking. You are indeed a true friend." Now, I may not really remembered the entire reply but the message was that. And somehow, it struck me.

As many of us know, Ying Soon had been in a relationship during his time in Form 6. I'm not going to say who but, let me just say that I bet he experienced alot during that time. He sacrificed his time for the certain someone, gone through many things with her, I'm sure. But what I wanted to mention here was how he was willing to open up his relationship with me. To be truthful, not many would do that cause such things would definitely be considered very, very private. So, that is why I really feel glad he treats me as a really good friend. I mean, to talk about a certain problem until 4 in the morning, or was that 6 in the morning? So yeah, I'm the good listener but he's the good friend cause he was willing to share his story.

Here is the man himself. The guy with the big mouth. LoLz.

This is Ying Soon and his posse. I will talk about the other two soon enough, but for now...Just focus on Yings.

This is a side of Ying Soon we rarely see actually. His alter ego is shown very vividly from this picture taken from the most secret stash of photographs that he keeps for himself.

Well now, besides all that I've said about Ying Soon earlier, he is a very determined person in truth. Whenever he has set his mind on something, he goes for it with all his heart. As an example, not many are able to switch from exam mode to fun mode and back again as quick as he can. I mean, there are times when you have had so much fun in some activity you are doing, you wish to continue the activity. However, Ying Soon knows how to control himself and focus on what is important very naturally. This attitude of his is a rare example and it should be something that I should learn as well.

He is also a very good planner. That being said, he was the one who did most of the planning for our class trip to Penang. We all had the time of our lives in that small island even when we had no vehicles to take us anywhere anytime, or an actual plan on where to go, or do we even have enough money for the whole length of the trip. But yet, we were still able to enjoy ourselves very much during the trip, very much thanks to this guy. I mean, if it weren't for him to begin to ask the rest about the destination for a class trip, it would never have happened at all. So, here I am saying a huge thanks to you, man.

Okay, my long awaited article about another person in my class is done yet again. Hope you guys can find truth in what I've said and cherish it. Till next time, arrivederci...
