Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

My Friend....Gaya.

Okay. Next up for an article is none other than that famous self-proclaimed princess of the class, Gayathiri. Yes, this pretty little girl is known very fabulously in the class as the 'princess'. I know, I'm being too artificial about this but this is what she is known famously by many especially those who knows her well. She happily goes around charming herself with the thought she is the princess.

Alright, back to serious typing then. Gaya. Now, she is not one girl who can be easily bullied, that's one thing. And from that one thing you know from you, you probably should already know that she can defend herself very well. She is a girl that is not easily deterred and truth be told, she knows what she wants and she will get what she want. Seriously, if you do not believe that statement, let me emphasize that it is unwise to try and challenge that statement. Not only does she know how to fight for it, she's got a good backup to help her.

Okay enough. Don't wanna scare people with just one statement about her. Besides that, she has a very bright smile that just brightens your day when you meet her and she gives you that smile. When she smiles at you, you know that the princess is happy with you and you are safe. Haha, that's how I feel anyways. That infectious bright smile, she greets me every morning when I go to school and it's just nice. It's that feeling you know somebody knows you are there and they are happy to see you.

Now, Gaya is not always smiling of course, if not that would make her probably someone weird if she's seen smiling 24 hours a day. She also has her ups and downs throughout Form Six but yet, she always come back smiling again. Now, I won't say that I'm the reason for it but she will always look better when she smiles.

When I first saw Gaya during the beginning of Form Six, she had reminded me of a certain classmate I had during my Form Five year. Ironically, it turns out both of them knows each other! That's just amazing. I mean, both of them are practically best of buddies. It is so ironic to me. They behave quite similar to me at first, but as I got to know Gaya more and more in Form Six, I knew she was her own individual with her own personality to shine.

One of the things that Gaya actually taught me during this time I have known her as a friend is the ability to prove yourself to others. How she can still be powerful in her own way. She wants to ensure people knows that she is there and just acknowledge her. This was something I found that Gaya gave me a lesson that was meaningful and very concrete. When she does not like something, she doesn't. When does like something, you can see her jumping for it. And it is advisable to give it to her whatever it is she is wanting.

After sitting beside her since the beginning of Upper Six, I realized that was when we got closer and she got more comfortable with not only me and also everyone. Well, I guess more with me since she was much comfortable with everyone already. I'm very glad that I have known you, Gaya and got you as my friend. Your friendship will be cherished by me and hopefully, this life will be gentle with you and you will always get what you want.

This is Gayathiri. This was taken at one of the rare moments when I was able to have fun with not only her, but the entire class all together outside of the class. Well, don't she just just divine here...the coalition of Chinese culture with Indian culture. Haha...

Well now, don't she look like the Red Queen over here? Looks like the princess is looking for an upgrade...

And here she is again. Decent photo of her, no?

If anything can be described as the princess of the class, it is none other than this girl right here. Boy, does she know how to pose royally. Smiles and cheery joy is portrayed every time she is around and I am glad that she is one of my unforgettable friends.
Gaya, though the roads we are going to walk on will separate, but never never ever forget that we have crossed paths before and you have touched my life. Hopefully, I did leave a mark on you that will also not be forgotten.
Remember all of us in Form Six no matter the distance, no matter the history. Remember us like how you always remember to brush those pearly whites every morning to provide the cheerful smile to everyone around you.
All the very, very wonderful wishes from me to you always.
