Fireworks!

Just like Katy Perry sings it, “Baby, you’re a firework, Come on show ‘em what you’re worth..Make ‘em go Oh, Oh, Oh…As you shoot across the sky”…Fireworks has been an amazing invention by the Chinese (Oh, am I proud of my ancestors at this moment) that it was known as one of the Four Great Inventions of ancient China, commonly better known as gunpowder (which however, makes me rather unproud of my ancestors for creating something that was made to cause pain).

Fireworks are such an amazing display of colours in a black background of the sky, illuminating it and inspire humanity with awe. In the past, fireworks was made to ward of evil spirits but it is more commonly now made for celebratory events such as New Year’s Day and so forth.

Fireworks are honestly amazing, although they may cost quite an amount to make as the materials needed to make the colours are rather hard to find, any simply firework out there is phenomenal. It might just be a small pop or a huge boom in the sky but when it comes down to it, fireworks brighten the sky when the sun goes to sleep.

What makes fireworks more amazing is when it becomes organized and creates a spectacular display of lights and colours to portray a particular pattern. It would just make you stop and stare for the moment as you watch it glimmer. Fireworks are like the midnight flowers where they dazzle you with their colour display and make you mesmerized.

Well, to my readers, today is actually my special day. Today is my 20th birthday and I got to celebrate it last night when there was a special fireworks display that happened at the New Brighton Pier. It was something amazing and although the other people there was celebrating Guy Fawkes Night, it felt like a birthday celebration for me as I never had fireworks display for my birthday (I know PK, you get it every year. I envy you!). I had fun last night although I was practically alone most of the time during the fireworks. I hope that maybe this year, I would see the New Year’s Eve fireworks with some of my friends.

To make this post seem so more meaningful, I just have to ask you my dear readers to finish this experience with me by watching this video of Katy Perry’s Firework. I feel so blessed in this day even if I have to probably celebrate this day mostly with myself.
