In truth, it isn't that hard to find similarities between Music and Love. But are we able to seek these similarities within us without others telling us about it?
We know that Music is all about melody, rhythm, lyrics and all of those musical notes just coming together to form a song or even just a jingle you would hear all over the shopping complexes during the holidays.
Well, what about Love? What can you explain or define when it comes to Love? Billions of people all over the world have their own definition about Love, billions more had their own even before you were born. Love defined in Wikipedia is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. Well, based on that we know that Love is a feeling.
What do we know about feelings? Feelings make the world go round, that's for sure. It's not just Love there. Feelings are used to describe our experiences in life. How we feel about something is how we have experienced that something in our life. So, we know that Love is about us feeling something that makes us having strong affections about it.
How would these two things then be able to come together? How would you bring these two things, Music and Love together? One is a feeling. The other is like an art of living.
It's not hard, it's not quantum physics or rocket science. It's just Music and Love. Humans have been playing music all their lives ever since they first set foot on this lovely blue marble we call Earth. When humans could not communicate with each other, music had been able to connect us worldwide. We now listen to music from all over the world, we are connected by it. Music brings out the spirit of connectness that nothing else can.
As we venture further into the idea we are going to, we find out that many melodies were composed by thousands maybe millions of artists around the world past and present to actually convey the message of Love. It is not just about romantic Love, it is Love. The true meaning of Love that is different for each and every individual.
Throughout all this, we come to realize that the feeling of Love is conveyed through the power of Music. Music is used to express many different kinds of feelings and this includes Love. Humans turn to Music to find the right melody that suit their feelings. Individuals with anger and frustration or even a sense of uselessness turn to loud music, hoping that maybe it would help them to release the anger they feel in their life. Usually, this also occurs to rebellious teenagers.
There are also those that find Music that is able to convey their Love and affection to their close ones. When you watch shows like The Last Song, Mamma Mia,
Music and Lyrics or even Phantom and the Opera, these feelings are deeply shown using music. Music composed based on movies usually brings out the theme of the movie alot and maybe sometimes it pretty cheesy for the male population to watch it with their partners, it is nonetheless one of the most heart-warming ways to bring both of them closer.
Music and Love has been brought together in many different ways but do we really understand it? We hear about 'Music able to soothe the wild beast' and as well as 'Music is the international language', prominently plastered around the music shops. You must understand, Music to convey feelings is something nobody can explain. We can understand someone from the music they listen, or the melody they play with their instrument in their hands.
As a final note, I do hope you understand the relationship of Music and Love. Music is used as a vessel to convey the message of Love. If only there is some way that this can help with the complications the world is facing now. Racism and control of power has tormented human life more than we know. Spend some time to yourself and think about what you can do as an individual. Each one of us can make a difference. Music is a big part of each one of us, even if we find it hard to believe. Don't you find it better to have Music to accompany you when you go through the most boring of times? Music is the one thing we turn to in hopes to find out how we are feeling within. Explain to me if I am wrong. Anyways, that's it. I stress that though it may seem odd for me to suddenly begin ranting about something as random as this, I have not turned into a hippie. Thanks.
Like William Shakespeare said, "If music be the food of love, play on."
