Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

Most Loyal to You

My post today is a special dedication to all those animals out there that have taught us the lesson of true loyalty. We as humans have lost this lesson in our lives as modernisation takes over us day by day throughout generations and I feel upset that you can only find true friends out there now like looking for Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster.

There are many
examples of real friendship in the media however, like the group of high school friends in the show One Tree Hill. They met in high school and even after four years since leaving high school, they are still the best of friends going through their troubles of life together. We also have the unbreakable bonds between the main characters of How I Met Your Mother. Even though they are entirely different individuals yet they are able to remain as good friends and still have fun at the same bar most of the time. What about the Gossip Girl cast? Yeah, they too show loyalty for each other once you break through the many layers of deceit among them. When I see how Serena, Blair, Nathaniel and Chuck always there for each other when one of them is down in the dumps, they always show the best of friendship although it would sometimes means that the rest of them have to react cunningly to get revenge for the one feeling down. No matter what it was, they still had an amazing secret bond of friendship for each other despite the complicated love lives they have among each other.

As a matter of fact, any television show you watch nowadays, you can see the theme of friendship advertised so blatantly. You think about the cast of Criminal Minds or Crime Scene Investigation - all three series, including Glee and you would see that the main characters are always there for each other. They show the value of being a tight group of friends who is there for each other always. But when it comes to real life, is it always there? Do we really trust our friends a lot?

Well, no matter what your answer might be for my question, I am here to talk about two very pure examples of friendship shown by animals towards humans. There are many more examples but I find these two being very famous and truly, they touched my heart deeply. We can always just go to the pet store and get a pet for ourselves but that does not mean they would be loyal to us immediately. Just like to our friends and even our family members, we earn trust from our pets. Unlike our friends and family, trust is earned from our pets quite easily as long as we don't starve them or abuse them. Pets also learn to love us when we teach them to by loving them. We play with them and there is nothing that can break the bond between the pet and its master once the pet trusts its master fully. It would go to the end of the world for its master because it knows that its master will never mistreat it. However, the case might be different for the master but this is another topic entirely.

Anyways, have you heard the story about Hachikō, the famous dog from Japan? Yeah. Talk about loyalty and this dog outshines just about any other stories you might have out there. Hachikō is from a breed of dogs known as the Akita, known for its loyalty and intelligence. Hachikō's master was a Japanese professor from the University of Tokyo and he would normally take the train to work every day and Hachikō would follow him to the train station and wait for the professor to go home at a specific spot outside the train station. For a year, Hachikō would wait for his master to return home from work. Until May 1925, the professor had died suddenly from brain haemorrhage and he never returned to greet Hachikō. Hachikō never faltered and he continued to return to the same spot to wait for his master to return from the train station every day for nine years. Even though he was given away after his master's death, he would escape to wait for his master's return at the train station. He died in 1935 but his story of true loyalty and faithfulness became a national symbol for Japan. I believe that these are the special bonuses that no purchase from the pet store can ever guarantee no matter how they have genetically modified the animal. I believe that once a pet has given to you its loyalty, it is forever and absolute.

The other story about loyalty I have is not about dogs but about a different type of animal that one would find quite difficult to believe as having any feelings for humans. But as we all should know, when we care for something since young, it is difficult to separate the love between the both of them just like a mother's love for her children. My next example revolves around a couple of guys that decided to adopt a cub that was causing problems in the Harrods department at London in the year 1969. They took care of the cub until it was a year old and it got too big for the place they were staying. They decided to reintroduce it back into the wild and they thought that was it. A year later, the guys wanted to go back to Africa to find their pet again. They were told by the conservationist that took the cub back into the wild that it would not recognize them but they took the risk and flew to Africa to find the cub again. Here is the video when they finally met with their grown up cub again.

Basically, loyalty is a lesson we have to learn and cherish with our hearts and teach to others by practicing it to them. We would be better individuals in the world by showing loyalty to others besides of course many more other values of life. However, if we are to start to be a better individual to our community, loyalty and faithfulness is a good way to start. Loyal and faithful to your family, your friends and especially to your one and only, we must be able to show love like that. If anything that has taught me from animals, it is the true essence of loyalty to those you love. May this bring a special lesson to you today and make a difference in your life.
