Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

100th Post. (Revised)

It has been weeks since I posted about the fact that I've reached my 100th post. Honestly, I'm sure there has been quite some emotional roller coaster with some of my loyal readers, I presumably hope so. The idea of me finally getting to my 100th post might have brought some excitement (well, at least for me) and I, for one am really, really excited about it. I kept on wondering what should I write about and as I walked either heading to my lecture classes or when I'm coming back from my university, I had these few thoughts of what I should write about. Truthfully, my university is like a big source of inspiration. I have this huge expanse of grass field while walking back home and when you can see the bright skies and the neatly mowed grass scenery, inspirations tend to come alive ever so easily, well at least for me it sure did.

It's amazing how plain blue skies with maybe a few puffy white clouds can help in bringing so much imagination to an aspiring writer. I think about those times I was back home in Malaysia and the skies were quite cloudy at times and when it was clear blue skies, it was boiling lava hot. It was excruciatingly hot that you just don't want to leave the closest air-conditioning unit worried that you might just dehydrate thanks to the extreme evaporating powers of the almighty Sun.

So coming back to my topic. I know it's going to be quite weird about what I'm going to write about, but let's just bear with me as I go on writing whatever I want. I find myself losing touch with my language skills and I think I should be writing more, based on the remarks I got from my recent assignments in university. Sighs.

Well, as I had been talking about skies in my previous words, evidently I have decided to talk about us being able to fly. Imagine humans with wings. I mean yes, there have been thousands of depictions about them most commonly, angels. But have you ever tried imagining it without the help of imagination by others? Imagine what it would really be like for you to have wings without the knowledge of how it would be thanks to other people. Would you be honestly be flying around all the time?

Would you just forget about everything else in the world and just fly to every country in the world to experience everything you want? Fly over vast expanses of blue seas below and watch the dolphins leaping out of the water or whales spouting water out their blowholes. Would you risk flying beside airplanes in the skies and watch the astonished gazes of the passengers in the metal bird while you make somersaults around its wings? Would you fly up to the highest floors of skyscrapers of the world and perch yourself right on the tip of its peak? Would you fly to Rome, Mexico and Switzerland to get pizzas, guacamole and chocolates in time for your dinner?

If your answer was 'Yes' to all of the above, then obviously you are with me right now.

Imagining yourself using those wings to your advantage is nothing short of being absolutely intelligent. Of course, if it did happen, tons of military intelligences would be chasing your tail to examine you and obliterate you to gain knowledge but of course, that is why the imaginary world is so special and unique to all of us. What about dreams? Have you had a dream about you having wings, a remarkable creation by God for our feathery friends? What did you do in your dream with your wings? Same thing as what you had daydreamed about? I'm sure you can do better than that.

Imagination about flying is such a common thing and also such an amazing thing. Flying away to the skies above wondering what there is to see. All of us humans have this special ability of being curious. All of us are curious within and we always wonder what it would be like. Sometimes we may not like it when we finally get to try that certain thing but it is always curiosity that makes us who we are.

So, look up in the sky today and open your eyes. What do you really see, besides the blue skies and the white clouds? God did not create these just for fun. He made it for us. What do you think you can get from the sky today? Will you dream again of flying like an eagle? Will you dream of creating the highest skyscraper in hopes to reach the sky closer and closer? Well, whatever it is you will be doing as you look at the sky, know this. Dreams are made each and every day and although sometimes they seem unreal, making dreams is part of being a human. Do not live a life of no dreams.

Soar the skies and be the human you are even if you had no wings. I leave you now with a thought and a song to listen to!

wow u said u were gonna write about flying n then u really went ahead n did it. im impressed.

btw ur article reminded me of this quote. me like. n im sure u ll like:

"There is a fundamental reason why we look at the sky with wonder and longing—for the same reason that we stand, hour after hour, gazing at the distant swell of the open ocean. There is something like an ancient wisdom, encoded and tucked away in our DNA, that knows its point of origin as surely as a salmonid knows its creek. Intellectually, we may not want to return there, but the genes know, and long for their origins—their home in the salty depths. But if the seas are our immediate source, the penultimate source is certainly the heavens. The spectacular truth is—and this is something that your DNA has known all along—the very atoms of your body—the iron, calcium, phosphorus, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and on and on—were initially forged in long-dead stars. This is why, when you stand outside under a moonless, country sky, you feel some ineffable tugging at your innards. We are star stuff. Keep looking up."

so much like. :')
