Take a look at yourself in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
Is it the person you want to be, or is there someone else you were meant to be, the person you should have been but fell short of?
Is someone telling you, you can't or you won't? Because you can.

Sometimes happiness doesn't come from money or fame or power. Sometimes happiness comes from the good friends and family. And from the quiet nobility of leading a good life.

Believe that love is out there, believe that dreams come true everyday, because they do.
So take a look at that mirror and remind yourself to be happy because you deserve to be, believe that.

The World Stage...MTV Style...

This post is dedicated to Chester Chin Zhao Liang...not fully, but partially...
Sorry, but I got lazy to write two posts for my blog...

So now, Chester, I promised I would comment more after that loud shoutout all the way from your blog...I know, I did some free publicity, but hey, I know you can share some...You good friend what, yub yub yub...
Hey, you took that picture of that ticket ya got happily from Axxess ticketing counter? Well, I got mine from my purchase of the brand-new The All-American Rejects album entitled “When The World Comes Down”! Looks bloody nice, if you asked me...And the album was seriously fantastic...

Now, I know you had that Twilight book extra to help to promote that ticket of yours...
I was wondering, I didn’t have any book to do the same thing...
Then, pop! These two were crawling all over the ticket...
So, I had to just take a picture of them...

Anyway, for now, I just gotta say...Yes, I did have a blasting good fun time in the MTV WORLD STAGE!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This is a picture of the chop, or verification, or sign, or symbol, or mark, or tanda, or temporary and ugly but coolest tattoo I have ever gotten for a concert!!
Well, let’s see....anybody who’s anybody who is like so in the World Stage Thingy gets one of this for free! Like duh, gotta take a picture of this rare thing la...
I mean, mine was still the most intact, as you can see...
When compared to the rest, everybody’s one was absolutely ruined due to the indecisive rain that accompanied us...
Oh yeah, gotta explain it much better...Okay, the people who went for the MTV WORLD STAGE...
Me (Muahahahahahhahaha), Chester (Woohoo!) and his galpal Michelle Leong (Yaay!)...
Well, they met some of their friends there too...including Chester’s brother & Michelle’s sister...
Waitaminute, everybody knows everybody there...how bout me??!!
Well, Chester told me Samuel & Hock Leong were coming (with Sam having the Mosh Pitt tickets) and I thought I could do some hunting game, looking for them in the special VIP area...

Anyways, Chester & Michelle arrived at my crib at around 2:45....I think...
And we headed to Sunway with the most optimistic feeling we have...With Michelle reading ‘The Chinese Cinderella’ behind and Chester showing me the parking lots recommended in the ticket....
It wasn’t really hard trying to find parking, not reminding the fact I drove almost like another typical Malaysian driver, dunno how to see direction and sorts....
It was great, we found a parking, parked my car and we headed to the Sunway Surf Beach to start lining up to enter the freakin’ concert...
Now, the concert was described as freakin’ because....IT WAS FULLY JAM-PACKED WITH PEOPLE once we arrived at the main entrance to Sunway Lagoon...
Everybody was lining up, like some long choo-choo train made of human bodies...
Michelle suggested sneaking in, because we seriously did not have the patience for the line...
But we decided not to, as Chester replies instantaneously, don’t wanna be so rude and impolite...
Luckily, after the gate was opened and people started gushing in like a broken dam, the line too was moving very quickly...
It seems, the whole surfing pool in Sunway Lagoon was drained out completely especially for the concert...
It was freakin’ awesome to be able to stand in the middle of the pool without getting wet at all!!
We were there rather early as it was only just 5:00 in the evening...
We had to wait for like an hour or more before the show actually began...
Well, the weather seemed fine at first...then it began to drizzle...
So we started putting on this freaky raincoat or parka (according to Chester) and sat down the nearest we could to the stage...which wasn’t that close, thanks to the Mosh Pit in front of us...
We actually battled the rain belting down on us just for the sake of getting that nice place in front...
Well, everybody was doing the same thing...except for some which are more exhibitionistic in nature, preferred to get wet all over...and it’s not just guys...
The rain fell and stopped....and fell again..............haih...

So the concert started at around 6 or 6:30...
They introduced a weird, random Malay dude supposedly able to sing in 10 different languages...
I was thinking...Is it languages or dialects? How many dialects of Malay do you have?
The Terengganu, Kelantan, Sabah, Pahang, Perlis....
Nevermind....
His performance was rather, erm...Malay-ish....always trying to outprove himself...
He even did the signature Moonwalk...I thought it was an insult...

After that, they made us wait....so tensely...so nerve-wreckingly...
Anyways, after quite some time waiting...
Pop! Comes out 5 of the MTV VJs from all over Asia...
There’s MTV VJ Andy from China...
MTV VJ Sean from Korea...
MTV VJ Taya from God-Knows-Where...
MTV VJ Utt....I think you should know him...
And MTV VJ Denise.....sizzling....szzzzzzz............

They introduced Estranged, the home-grown band...as the first act...They were okay, at least they didn’t shame Malaysia...but I have to say, not my type of music, unfortunately....

Then, to the surprise of many....Boys Like Girls took the stage by a storm, literally...
They belted some of their most popular songs...
The Great Escape, LoveDrunk and lots more...
The girls were screaming, and so were some guys...
The noise was totally outtathisworld....everybody just had to sing along to every lyrics of the song...
CRAZYNESS...
They even had the crowd churned up for their song, Thunder...
With rumblings of actual thunder above...How ironic...how coincidental..how lucky they finished the song quickly...before the rain seriously poured...

The next act was Raygun...Now this, the band may sound so odd and random but they are seriously buzzworthy and worth your time listening to...
Probably should start adding some of their songs in here, but...laziness...
So anyways, gonna repeat my statement...Raygun is a great band from the UK...
Check them out...

Next up, if I’m not wrong....it’s Pixie Lott...
Okay, wanna clear things up first...I have bad memory, trying my best to remember...
So, if I got the arrangement wrong, sue me all you want...I might even forget that...
Well, back to Pixie Lott...She’s a seriously surprisingly amazing singer...
Look, I know I’m really bad when it comes to music...being my first time hearing bout Pixie Lott, but She sure did rock my socks off...not that I was wearing any...

Then....It gotta be Hoobastank...Woohoo!!
It’s the band who brought us THE REASON and they sure did give a nice reason to be in the concert...
Unfortunately, they had a small technical difficulty while performing...which luckily wasn’t really that bad considering their performance being a sorta let down especially to a big fan of theirs, namely moi...
They weren’t that bombastic as I thought they would be with their new songs from their latest album...And they even tried joking with the crowd by playing the Ghostbusters theme song...
And later, calling the crowd ‘ridiculous’...I mean, is that how you treat your fans? Calling them ridiculous...
However, after belting out 2 of their new songs, they made a nice comeback by singing their classics such as Crawling In The Dark and of course, The Reason...
So, I guess they are forgivable...But it seems this is their third time here...I never knew...

After that....hmm....Cannot remember la...Summore been writing so much...Headache...
OOkay okay okay...Let’s just move on to those that I can remember...

Next up, the band that everybody’s been anticipating with white knuckles and knocking knees...
THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS!
Heck, I bought their album for a reason okay...They are freakin’ awesome to the freakin’ maximum!
Imagine...the whole stage was focused on them...Lights always off everywhere except on the stage...
Then, BOOM! Out comes the All American Rejects....Belting out their latest single, I WANNA!!
They sure made girls swoon...All singing to the lyrics of ‘I wanna, wanna touch you....’, obviously focused to the lead singer, who as a matter of fact, came out with glitter all over his body, only a fluorescent yellow singlet for cover.... Bang, lock on! They made the whole place jump and shout and scream and woohoo and everything!! The place felt as if it shook...probably an earthquake could have started because of the crowd!
The All American Rejects entertained the crowd with 7 of their fabulous songs...Oh seven...
Let’s see, I Wanna...Mona Lisa...The Real World...Swing Swing...Gives You Hell...It Ends Tonight...Dirty Little Secret....
And I think there’s more...It’s just that my memory is slipping...
I have to say...The true main highlight of the night for me was this band...
They made me jump and jump and jump....while singing to as much of the lyrics that I could muster and remember...
Even Chester was jumping along...In fact I should just say...the whole of Sunway Lagoon was jumping all together!!
Crazyness?? That is such a simple way of describing the situation...

And finally, comes Kasabian, a serious rockband all the way from the United Kingdom...
The lead singer came on stage looking oh so cool...with his woohoo coolness shades...
I wonder if he realized it was already 11 at night....
But I guess rockstars don’t need to know the time to wear their shades...They wear it anytime they want...
They were really great rockers...Belting serious rock songs...Almost headache hearing from it...
But still seriously enjoyed myself, although Chester and I were like...so out of place, standing there listening while the crowd was rocking to the songs like crazy...
Kasabian was seriously famous to the crowd, but unfortunately not to me...Sorry...

So that was it...After that, the concert was over, and we headed home...
I thought it was gonna be a traffic hassle to go back but...
Everybody was like not even going home yet!!
They were all lining up to go some club there...
So it was like, whatever la for me...easier roads for me to drive home...

************************************************************************

Actually...this blog post is yet to be over...

I have one last surprise for my dear readers...
Chester and I were keeping this a secret until we finally finish our blogposts to reveal this...
Now, if you remember, I parked my car at Sunway Pyramid and we had to walk through the mall to get to the main entrance of Sunway Lagoon...
During that time...This was what happened...
We were hunting for the directory to lead us to the main entrance...
As we were walking around the Ice Rink, we passed a fast food restaurant (Louisiana Kitchen). There was a group of girls gathering over there and we were wondering what was happening...
We started walking towards the group and realized the crowd was beginning to grow...
They as we glanced into the restaurant, there they were...
THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS LIVE IN PERSON!! BUYING FRIED CHICKEN FROM SOME RANDOM RESTAURANT UNKNOWN IN MALAYSIA!!
OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!
Imagine our surprise to get to see them so close to us...
They were seriously so close...like.... this close weh...
Crazyness...girls were screaming in the mall...and everybody wanted to get a good glance at them...
Michelle was like, cursing that she didn’t have her camera with her...
Chester was like, I’m afraid my phone might not have enough battery after taking the camera shots...
So, without delaying...I hurried to take a picture of them with my cheap phone...
Then realized Chester was also taking pictures with his phone too...

OMG....Until today, I’m so shocked and grateful of how lucky we are to get to see them so close....
I’m so happy...
Moreover, I realized they were very friendly...They were actually shaking hands with a lucky fan and introducing themselves...
After that, Tyson (lead singer) was like holding his IPHONE to start taking pictures...
Imitating the huge crowd which was like taking pictures of him...
LOL LOL LOL...
It was so amazing...When they were ready to go, they started walking out of the restaurant and guess wert...
I was like so close to them, it was like I almost brushed shoulders with them...Woohoo...
Oh, may their fame rub out on me...I so need some...
So to prove what I said was true...This is the picture I took (Best out of the rest) of the lead singer...
YAY!!

So this is it....Finally...finished my long, long post about the MTV WORLD STAGE...

COMMENT GENEROUSLY PLEASE...
